June Term Registration Now Open
Registration for June Interterm is now open, and information about our credit and non-credit offerings is posted here on the Trinity web site.
Credit classes (which can also be audited) during the week of June 9-13 include "John Wesley: Practical Anglican" taught by Church History professor Phil Harrold; "The Anglican Way of Theology" with Bill Witt, Trinity's Visiting Professor of Historical Theology; and "Money and the Soul" a tiered class (both Masters and Doctoral levels) with Todd Cederberg. During Week Two, June 16-20, Dr. Kevin Giles will join us to teach a 5-day intensive on "The Trinity: The Distinctive Christian Doctrine of God." Dr. Giles is the author of The Trinity and Subordinationism: The Doctrine of God and the Contemporary Gender Debate. Doctor of Ministry students, please check out "Church and Ministry for a New Millennium" with Laurie Thompson (Dean of Doctoral Studies) during the first week, and "Evangelical Theology for a Pluralistic Age" with Justyn Terry (Systematic Theology professor) during the second week.
Non-credit offerings include "Pastoral Crisis Intervention" co-taught by Rob Dewey (MDiv 1983) and Guy Van Horn, both from Charleston and the Coastal Crisis ministry; "Cradle to Grave Discipleship," a three-day symposium (June 10-12) on the Historic Anglican Catechism in the Contemporary Era, facilitated by Jack Gabig (MDiv 1997); and Godly Play teacher accreditation.
New this year is "Summer Sabbath," June 18-20, designed for clergy, lay leaders and their families to learn and play, worship and fellowship together. Sessions on "Adventures in the Church Fathers," "Christian Martyrs," and "Preaching Matthew" will be offered by Trinity faculty, as well as family events, a golf outing, family Eucharist and other programs for kids. There will be something for everyone - as we say, "JUST COME AND REST."
We invite you to take advantage of one or several of these opportunities to come back to Trinity. If you have further questions, feel free to give the Extension Ministries Office a call at 1-800-874-8754 (or 724-266-3838 locally).
